Pre-incident planning is the key to effective and efficient response to fire protection system activations in sprinklered buildings. By completing the four programs that make up this training, the user will be able to:
- Formulate a pre-plan for a sprinkler-protected property
- Incorporate fire protection systems information into new and existing pre-incident plans
- Understand the need to develop comprehensive pre-incident plans for complex properties
- Analyze and improve their current pre-incident planning process using lessons learned from past incidents
- Prepare for emerging warehouse technologies that use automated robots
After completing the training, fire service personnel will be prepared to apply the best practices discussed in the programs to their local organization’s pre-incident planning process. Facilities management personnel will also benefit from the training by understanding how the fire service views their facility and how to work with the fire service to plan for response to an emergency.
To earn credit for the selected programs in the Pre-Incident Planning for the Fire Service training, you must complete each program in its entirety and pass the Skills Challenge test. Once you complete all four programs by passing their Skills Challenge tests, you will be able to download the Pre-Incident Planning for the Fire Service certificate of completion.
When you have completed the required programs, this page will display a Download Certificate button. You can also access the Certificate from your Completed Programs page and from each required program's details page. Once you have earned the Certificate, it will be listed in your transcript. If you have any technical problems, please file a support ticket.
